Your spiritual home?
If you consider Holy Trinity to be your spiritual home then we would love to encourage you to consider giving financially to the life of this church community in response to the generosity of God towards us.
As a church community our desire is that we would grow both in the depth of our relationship with God and also in breadth as a community as we seek to reach out with the message of Jesus Christ, encouraging others to join us in following Him.
In order to encourage growth, both in depth and in breadth we need money to help us resource well the mission and ministry of Holy Trinity Church.
If I give, then what should I give?
That’s between you and God! Many Christians over the centuries have aimed for 10% of their income being given away. As a guide the General Synod of the Church of England has recently encouraged church members to set the target of giving 5% of their income to their local church, and a further 5% to other organisations that help build God's kingdom. But many could manage more and some very much less. Jesus taught that God looks at the heart behind it, not the size of gift (see Mark 12:38-44). Even if you can only give a small amount, please do.
If you would like to give to support the mission and ministry of Holy Trinity Church then please don’t give out of guilt, or just because we say we “need” the money but give joyfully as the Lord loves a cheerful giver!
‘Each of you must give as you have made up your mind - not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.’
2 Corinthians 9:7-8 (NRSV)
