If you're Aged 11-18 we have loads going on for you at Trinity Youth

We believe that God is an exciting, life changing and transforming God, who loves to make a difference in the world through young people. Our youth ministry exists to introduce young people to Jesus, to connect them with other Christians, to challenge them to grow in their faith and to encourage them to worship and serve God.  For weekly updates on our activities follow our Instagram here.

After Church

On Sunday evenings after the 6:30 service we take over the church for some truly hair brained games from indoor golf to Nerf Wars, Archery competitions to Grogg! We usually have some pizzas or hot dogs and make sure there's also time for playing pool, darts, Mario Kart and simply chilling out.  After Church is open to any young people who are at secondary school or 6th form and finishes at 9pm -  whenever we can (usually during half term) we make After Church an all night affair and have movie marathon sleepovers - get in touch with Emma to find out when the next one is happening.

Sunday Mornings

Those in Year 7-9 meet  on Sunday mornings during the 10.40am service, to engage with and explore the Christian faith through games, activities and discussion. We spend the first twenty minutes in the service and then meet in the youth room on the first floor of the Church Centre.

Tuesday Nights

On Tuesday nights the 14-18 year olds (years 9-13) meet at Church from 7.30pm to 9.30pm.  We occasionally share meals, we take part in crazy and elaborate challenges and games and spend time discussing the big questions of life.

During the school holidays we are able to provide more one off events from 6th Former Gatherings, Movie Marathons and beach and campfire nights (we love to take advantage of the beauty of the Island whenever weather permits).  We also join with other church youth groups on the Island as part of the NewWine Guernsey Youth for one off events and to run courses to develop young leadership potential.

Parents

The greatest spiritual influence in a child's life is undoubtedly their parents and we love to work alongside, support and encourage the parents of the young people.  Raising Teens can be a difficult prospect so in addition to keeping open lines of communication we love to spend time getting to know parents of the teenagers through parent social nights.  These socials aim to provide space for parents to gather together, get to know other parents of teenagers and the youth ministry team and learn from and encourage one another.  In addition to the parent socials we also seek to periodically run Parenting Teenager Courses.

Safeguarding

We take seriously our responsibility to protect and safeguard the welfare of children and young people entrusted to our care and have a Safeguarding Officer and Safeguarding Policy that we work to.

We are committed to:

  • Providing a safe and comfortable environment where a child’s physical, emotional and spiritual well being is fostered and protected.
  • Listen to, relate effectively to and value children and young people.
  • Encourage and support parents/guardians.
  • Ensure that those working with children and young people are given support and training.
