Agape Meal on Zoom!
Sunday 31st May at 4pm. We will say some prayers, sing some hymns, look at the Bible and share a 'meal'.
What is an Agape Meal? Also known as a ‘Love Feast’, it is a fellowship meal recalling the meals Jesus shared with his disciples and expressing the ‘koinonia’ or community enjoyed by the family of Christ. The Agape Meal derives from early church meals such as are referred to by Paul and symbolise the unity of fellowship in the love of Christ which we share.
You will need at least one candle, bread and wine - the primary symbols of the Agape Meal. In these days of lock-down use what you have. No bread and wine? Use juice and crackers. The important thing is that you share a meal of some sort and pray together.

Daily Prayer with the Trinity Prayer Diary
We have produced a prayer diary for 2020 with an order for Morning Prayer and a plan to pray for all of the people in our church community over a month. Many people in our church community use this at home as a great way to pray for the church family as part of a personal daily prayer time. Please email Cynthia if you would like a copy sent to you by email or post.
Praying for Care Homes
Each Wednesday at 9am in our homes or wherever we may be, a group of us pause to pray for 30 mins for those that live and work in care homes. For more details about what to pray for please contact Helen Sheppard by email.
Monday Prayer on Zoom
At 5.30pm every Monday Derek and Jane Brown lead an hour of prayer for the church community and the wider community. Please Contact Derek for more details on how to join in.
Thoughts for the Day
The Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, has launched a free national phone line as a simple new way to bring worship and prayer into people’s homes while church buildings are closed because of the coronavirus. Daily Hope offers music, prayers and reflections as well as full worship services from the Church of England at the end of a telephone line. The line is available 24 hours a day on 0800 804 8044 and is free from Guernsey. Click here for more details
